EMERGENCY WAR BULLETIN

Transmission source: Central Military Command Signal integrity: DEGRADED Timestamp: 04:17 A.M.

Situation Overview

All civilian communication channels have collapsed.

The northern defensive line no longer exists in any meaningful capacity. What remains are isolated units, operating without orders, without supply, and without hope of reinforcement.

Attempts to re-establish contact have failed repeatedly. No response has been received since 02:39 A.M.

Enemy movement is no longer classified as an advance. It is an arrival.

Casualty Assessment

Confirmed losses exceed all prior projections.

Entire battalions have vanished from the field without transmission. Medical evacuation is no longer possible.

Wounded personnel are instructed to remain in place. Extraction cannot be guaranteed. Extraction should not be expected.

Civilian casualty numbers are unknown. They are assumed to be severe.

Territorial Control

The following sectors are considered irretrievably lost:

  • Sector A-3
  • Sector B-7
  • Sector D-12

Remaining checkpoints report ammunition levels below 18%. Fuel reserves are exhausted.

Any map currently in circulation is obsolete.

Command Directives

All units are to transition to autonomous operation.

Do not await further instructions. Do not attempt large-scale regrouping.

Hold position only if it delays the enemy. Retreat only if survival is statistically plausible.

If capture is imminent, destroy all equipment. Documents are to be burned. Records are to be erased.

Civilian Notice

This message is not an evacuation order.

There are no safe routes remaining. Shelters are compromised. Relief forces will not arrive.

Citizens are advised to remain indoors and reduce all sources of light.

Those still capable of movement should seek cover underground.

Final Statement

This command does not expect to transmit again.

If this message is received, it should be considered the final record of centralized authority.

May whatever remains of us endure the night.

End of transmission.
