흔치 않은 좌완 사이드암 투수이다. 사이드암의 특성상 우타자에게 약하지만 쓸만한 고속 슬라이더와 커브를 장착하고 있고 구위가 강력한 파이어볼러이기 때문에 좌타자가 더 흔해진 현대 야구에서는 나쁘지 않은 4~5선발 자원으로 보인다.
2025년을 기준으로 포심 패스트볼의 평균 구속은 147.8km/h이었다. 141.8km/h의 고속 슬라이더를 구사하며, 커브는 평균보다 약간 빠른 128.4km/h이다. 강한 구위와 194cm의 키로 사이드암의 단점을 극복하면서 대만에서도 변화구만 익히면 성공할 수 있는 선발 유망주로 꼽혔지만 도무지 터트리지를 못하면서 불펜으로만 굴려지다가 2024년부터 각성해 변화구를 장착한 케이스.
다만 횡축 제구가 아쉬운 편이고 초구부터 볼을 내주는 경우가 많아 투구수가 늘어나면서 이닝 소화력과 구위를 제대로 활용하지 못할 수도 있다는 우려가 있다. KBO에서 포텐을 터트리면 3~4선발까지도 기대해볼 수 있지만 망하면 불펜으로 전환해 롱릴리프로 써야 할 수도 있는, 변수가 많은 입지이다. 2025년 18경기 선발 출장해 93이닝 ERA 6.01를 기록한 오영진이 대체 자원으로 있기 때문에 가능한 선택이라고 볼 수 있다.
