	[[청광]](晴光) 단본이나 그 인구가 많은 편으로, 유래는 일본 성씨 중 하나인 나카무라(中村)이다. 원래는 [[설성경 상대]] 이래로 귀화한 일본인들에 의해 전래된 성씨였던데다 [[설성경 중대]]부터 [[동안국]] 천도로 인해 일본계 사람들을 몇 등용하면서 중촌씨 가문이 선택을 받아 중촌씨가 일본계 성씨 중 가장 우세한 성씨가 되었다. [[동안일치시기]]를 포함해 근대 이후 [[포광시]] 등에 이주해 생겨난 [[이등(성씨)\|이등]], [[금전(성씨)\|금전]] 등 다른 일본계 성씨보다 약 4-~~5세기~~ 빨리 생겨난 셈. 대도시였던 [[평상동(평호)\|평읍]](平邑), [[이진동\|송이]](松二) 등에도 본관이 있었으나, 합본되어 모두 청광 중촌씨가 되었다.
